Field Notes
Description:
Two margined leatherwing beetles mating. Found on some sort of flowering plant (there is a small patch of them in the field). The second photo is how they were found and then I held them for a moment (first photo) then let them go back on the same plant.
Habitat:
A lot that has gotten a little overgrown (it is usually mowed)
Notes:
The lighting was difficult to work with since it was sunset and I don't have a decent flash (just the built-in), so these were the only good photos I got of them.
