Field Notes

Description:

Medium-sized egret with white body and buff patches on head and neck. Eyes, bill and legs are yellowish-orange.

Identification Note: only white egret with both a yellow bill and yellow legs.

Habitat:

Found in the tropics, subtropics and warm temperate zones.

Introduced to Hawaii in 1959.
