Field Notes

Description:

Just a little baby, this bunny was about 6" long when stretched out. Brown fur all over with a white belly and white underside of the tail.

Habitat:

Edge of a mixed forest.

Notes:

This little guy was brought to me tonight as a "rescue." My neighbor was spraying for bugs around his house and got some on this bunny by accident. He thought I would want to nurse it along and save it. After doing my research like I always do, this little one was big enough to be on his own anyway and didn't seem to have any ill effects from the overspray, so after a quick photo shoot, he got released in the tall grass outside my home by my wild blackberry bushes.
