Field Notes

Description:

16 - 18 cm, adults have a lighter blue head and underpart, with a slightly darker upperpart and shoulder patch of different shade of blue. Sexes are similar. Juveniles (perched higher on the branch) have duller plumage.

Habitat:

Ranges from Mexico to northeast Bolivia and northern Brazil
