Field Notes

Description:

Four downy babies, eagerly awaiting food from their busy parents.
Both parents were there fussing at me, and as soon as I moved away they resumed feeding their chicks.

Habitat:

Nest of twigs in a bush, beside a trail running through open fields

Thanks, Maria. No... I was bad and got right up next to the nest to be able to get pics through the branches. The parents both started fussing at me. They chilled out as soon as I moved off, though. It would be neat to see the little cuties fledge. I'll have to run that trail more often.

Sweet spotting. Did you stay some feet away from the nest so as not to disturb the parents too much? It will be nice if you can see them fledge!
