Field Notes

Habitat:

Observed at a local County nature Preserve lying in the middle of the exit road. It was a warm day. Both sides of the road were wooded w/ the west side being lower tending to be wetter when water was present. Not far off was a culvert-type structure under the small road for water flow. This area is known to see moccasins and water snakes lying and crossing the road.
