Field Notes

Description:

About ten days back I had photographed a half dark half green praying mantis on this potted Hibiscus plant but was not happy with the results. Went back today to find an all-green (except some dark marks on its back) Praying mantis. Same size as the other one.

Habitat:

On leaves.

Notes:

Does a Praying Mantis change colour?

This little mantis is a nymph ( not full grown yet). Many species of mantis come in different color forms. Perhaps you have seen two different nymphs.
