Field Notes

Notes:

Cool facts:
1. Hunts by smell, as well as by sight. Turkey vultures are sometimes used to find natural gas leaks because the are attracted to the foul smell added to the gas.
2. Defends itself by vomiting stomach acid. Not sure if that lightens their weight so they can fly faster or surprises and disgusts its enemy.
