Field Notes

Description:

Small (about 2 mm wide) orange globular sporocarps on damp wood chips. Some of these appeared fused and were capsule-shaped.

Habitat:

Damp wood chips - garden bed

Notes:

Thanks to Clive Shirley's advice. This was incorrectly labelled Hemitricia calyculata. Clive advises that it's probably too immature to identify correctly.

I dont think this is Hemitrichia calyculata maybe to immature to name.

Thanks Jared. A little difficult to get my head around these but they are fascinating with their different forms and colours as they move to feed & reproduce.
