Description:
This moth seems to be entering into the realm of mimicry. It looks like both a wasp and a moth. It hides the underwings to increase the wasp effect and holds the tail in the air with a red tip. 1 cm long. Family Crambidae (Pyralidae).
Habitat:
Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
