Description:
Small bird sitting very high up in the tree. It was flitting about restlessly and always hiding strategically behind the leaves. I can only see a white " eyebrow" over the eyes and a touch of yellow at the throat. Thin pointed beak; appears black
Habitat:
Eco resort at Belun village near Katwa, West Bengal. Unkempt garden...lots of land with minimal interference. Many waterbodies, both natural and artificial. Some tall trees, creepers and a river in the backyard! Absolutely rural backdrop.
Notes:
The second is a heavily cropped first short for ID-ing. The last shot is to show how this bird kept hiding.
I have only one usable shot but would be so grateful if someone can give me an ID.
My friend thought it was a Common Iora.
