Field Notes

Description:

Looks like bread dough on the bottom of fallen, rotting log. Unknown tree. Smelled mushroom like. Unsure if this is what some people refer to as "dog vomit". Pale beige to light brown in color. Sample collected on plate seemed to loose it's "slime factor" easily. Didn't resemble witch's butter or anything I've seen lately.

Habitat:

Wet woods, little light. Underside of rotting log. Covered entire length of log. Grew on the tree itself and not on another fungi (that I could see). Firm consistency (held it's shape when taken from log). Found in Missouri
