Field Notes

Description:

A 2 to 5 mm large aquatic Gastropod that lives in rivers all over Europe, it eats pond weeds and other freshwater plants, in some freshwater aquariums it is considered a pest

Habitat:

Freshwater rivers,ponds and lakes (my live in personal freshwater aquariums)

Notes:

These breed like wildfire, but are interesting to look at. They are acutely not related to land snails
