Field Notes

Description:

These fish hunt close to the surface and leap into the air, sometimes in fear as a boat or predator approaches, sometimes to leap into a school of prey and sometimes from some uncontrollable urge or attraction towards light, (schools of them have been known to leap towards the lights of boats).
Believe it or not, two people have actually been killed from the needle like jaw piercing their eye and stabbing their brain and one person has been killed as this fish swam straight into their heart.
