Field Notes

Description:

Small. Grey with green hues. Yellow in top of it's head.

Habitat:

Chicago, City streets, backyards with trees and yards.

Notes:

This lil guy flew into my front window. I went outside and brought him to my backyard where he flew away after a few minutes. He seemed dazed from the hit but seemed ok when he flew off!

@kelly Thanks @Joseph The bird was very calm, but seemed confused until it got its bearings and flew off @jamerbean That was the only time something like that happened. I thought someone threw something at my window.
Poor thing! I'm glad he seemed to be okay. If birds flying into your windows is something that happens often, it's very easy to get removable decals that prevent birds from confusing windows with open sky. :)
It looks pretty calm. Did it seem nervous or confused?
Yeah! That's the bird I found. And it looks like it was a female bird.
