Field Notes

Description:

Elongated Treehopper with a purple-brown color and yellow markings. It was about 1 cm long with orange legs. Family Membracidae, Subfamily Smiliinae.

Habitat:

Abandoned field, semi-urban area, outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
