Description:

I discovered 3 of these guys eating cat food that I had put out for a stray.

Habitat:

Found on my front porch. Chillicothe, Ohio.

Species ID Suggestions

European earwig

Forficula auricularia

I'm not 100% on this one but as BugGuide states: "Males are readily distinguished from other North American species of earwigs by their distinctive forceps." (structures on the rear-end) Based on the enormous size of the forceps on your spotting, I feel pretty good about the ID suggestion.
