Field Notes

Description:

Tiny wasp with an elongated body. Front two pair of legs yellow with white at the "knees" (between the femur and tibiae). Hind pair of legs yellow femur changing to dark near the "knee', white knee, dark tibiae and tarsus with white at the joint between the two. Fairly long antennae. Transparent wings with dark veins and a dark spot on the outer margin of each wing.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Wooded campground.

Notes:

Braconidae or Ichneumonidae.
