In this case my eye was aided by a more intimate than usual knowledge, which why I've been tested for Chagas disease.
great eye as usual lori! since it's a bit unclear, I've added the subfamily link to the spotting (Triatominae/Kissing Bugs) for more general information. Here's a good link to more specific genus information on Triatoma: http://bugguide.net/node/view/4789
Assassin bug is a general name for many of the Triatoma species, another name is "kissing bug".
Someone told me it might be an Assassin Bug.
Triatoma lecticularia, or Triatoma sanguisuga, based on location, although the apparently long front legs are wrong.
