Description:

Scopula asellaria is a moth of the family Geometridae, genus Scopula. It is a very common Greek moth species as it is found in southern Europe and North Africa. There are several subspecies. The larvae feed on the flowers of Silene species, and the pictured adult was spotted resting on a wall in Milina settlement, Pagasitikos gulf, Greece.
