Description:
Length 4cm – 5cm. It is very close to odonata (dragons and damsels) looking at the strong pterostigma (wing tip patch/weight) and the wing venation, particularly the deep ‘V’ along the leading edge. The eyes, thorax and abdomen are all very 'dragonfly' in proportions.
But, there is no nodus (kink) in the leading edge and the antennae are very long and bulbous. It was a very strong flier as you would expect of this type of bug.
