Field Notes

Description:

I found this years ago but recently remembered I still had it and I was wondering what it could be. It was probably killed by one of the many cats in the area.

Habitat:

I found it in a farmland village in a patch of grass

looks like the lower jaw of a small mammal
It looks very similar to a rabbit or hare mandible (well part of one). I did a quick Google search to find some similar images. You would probably have to do some research on size to see if you could figure out which it is. https://www.google.com/search?q=rabbit+mandible&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=LI9Mkmkej_iH-M%252C04wu_AWpaL2RZM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kTBDGuNpsU0Og9xeY-ZGV_0varJ4g&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiFoa6gmNbuAhX3GVkFHeynDDwQ9QF6BAgGEAE&biw=1600&bih=789#imgrc=X7GsxeBVnIKOoM
