Description:

公的招潮蟹最大的特徵是擁有一對大小懸殊的鰲。招潮蟹一對火柴棒般突出的眼睛。母的招潮蟹外觀除了兩隻螯都很小之外，基本上和公蟹一樣。

Habitat:

泥土，潮間帶。

Notes:

招潮蟹常有招潮的動作，因而得名。而這個的動作，目的是用大螯威嚇敵人或是求偶。台灣招潮蟹警覺性高，受驚後，馬上躲入洞裡，因此觀察要有耐心。
