Field Notes

Description:

Bright orange moth with a brown band on the ends of the wings. About 5 mm in length. Family Crambidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Thank you Chief! You've been a great help! I saw your Pyrausta spotting (very beautiful by the way) and began going through Pyrausta species and found it! No records for Mexico, but it is in Florida and much that is in Florida is also in Chiapas.
