Description:

Another fungi I saw. Very small, bright red, maybe 1-2cm diameter. Found near the Noosa River, Cooloola National Park.

I'll be back there in mid-august so I'll see if I can find them again.
Unfortunately way too big for Mycena viscidocruenta. (6-8mm) I'd guess Hygrocybe miniata but as GM said... NathBig could you please just nudge it for a peek next time 8-] http://www.sydneyfungalstudies.org.au/images/kearneyphotosforsite/hminiata.jpg
The color shows up really well with those leaves!
Perhaps Mycena viscidocruenta or a Hygrocybe species. Unfortunately we'll never be sure without photographs of the gills.
No unfortunately. It was very low to the ground.
Nice one Nathan. Incredible colour and looks spongy. Did you see the gills or stem by any chance?
