Description:

This one was spotted burying itself during a night dive.

Cuttlefish are marine animals of the order Sepiida. They belong to the class Cephalopoda, which also includes squid, octopi, and nautiluses. 'Cuttle' is a reference to their unique internal shell, the cuttlebone. Despite their name, cuttlefish are true molluscs.

Habitat:

Open water over volcanic ash bottom at Tulamben, Bali

Hi Marta..no actually not..they are quite busy bodies..so their movement draws the eye..but once they are buried, no chance!!
Wow! Nice! I can imagine how tiny it was! and hidden in the sand must have been difficult to spot it at first!
I took the three photos in sequence...
Thank you Mark...yes, one is lucky to see them..within seconds they bury themselves under the sand!
