Thank you Sydes............it looked like a relative of neem (Azadirachta indica)...and it is...
of Asian origin, invasive species in Southern Africa although popular as a garden tree due to its early flowering and sweet;y scented profusion of flowers in the spring. The pale yellow fruits are mildly poisonous but that doesn't seem to stop goats from eating them.
