Field Notes

Description:

Black and white moth with a brown thorax and a white head. About 1 cm long. It landed twice on my shirt (last picture), thinking that it was a better place to hide. It just shows how sensitive they are to the colors and patterns that best provide them with camouflage. The last picture was taken on 20 February 2014 in the same place.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
