Description:

A Hermit Thrush has rich brown on the head & back, with a distinctly reddish tail. They often quickly raise & slowly lower their tail.The underparts are pale with distinct spots on the throat & smudged spots on the breast. This bird also has a thin pale eye ring.

Habitat:

Spotted near South Tamarac Lake. A large flock of Hermit Thrust were migrating north.This bird is typically found on the forest floor while foraging in the leaf litter. They eat insects, small invertebrates & fruit.
