Field Notes
Description:
Mature male specimen 3-4 mm in length, colored as shown. The pedipalps appear in the image to resemble jaws.
Habitat:
Found on a bridge over a fast-flowing stream. Riparian vegetation included cottonwood, elm, and ash trees. The trail runs along the stream corridor but much of the area is urban-industrial.
