Description:

This is the largest of the New World softshelled turtles and has most of the Old World characteristics. They start to nest between March to July.

Habitat:

Picture was taken at the Orlando Wetlands Park in Christmas, FL.

Notes:

It is possibly a female looking for a place to lay her eggs.
