Field Notes

Description:

Large gull, yellow bill with red spot on tip of lower half of bill. White feathers with gray back and wings, black wingtips with white spots, and pink legs.

Habitat:

Beach,bay,boat launch, dock,marina and picnic area. Lagoon and shoreline.

Notes:

This was a very loud personable gull. A joy to observe and chat with. Funny antics,maybe in hopes of human treats. Follows you if fed. Does not startle easily,hard to move away from your car.
