Description:

Nondescript grey plumage. Yellow beak. Can be heard long before it is sighted. Aptly named. Harsh voice. Found in flocks that hop along the ground or take short hopping flights while exploring and then flying away.

Habitat:

Open ground where the soil can be explored.
