Description:

Largest of all terns, the size of a seagull. Black legs, black cap, long orange bill.

Habitat:

Terns are seabirds found throughout the world -- and this tern's distribution is scattered all around including North America, where they are found around ocean coasts and the Great Lakes.

Hi Alina, aside from size, the large bill and lack of long, stringy outer tail feathers eliminates Common and Arctic.
Liam, how can you tell that it's a Caspian Tern and not a Common Tern or an Arctic Tern? What gives it away?
