Description:
A small cup fungus (about 2.5 inches across) with a brilliant red inside and a duller, whitish outside. Very little stem to speak of.
Habitat:
Deciduous hardwood forest.
Notes:
I find a few of these in this forest every year around this time of year, but I've never found more than a few.
