Description:
Big brown Tiger Moth (type of Banded Tussock Moth) with pale underwings and a bright pink furry body. It has two orangish stripes on the thorax and a red stripe and an orange stripe on the head. The underside is all brown with some orange dots on the sides of the abdomen (last picture). Family Arctiidae.
Habitat:
Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
