Field Notes

Description:

Also known as the Indian Fig. It has barbed bristles that break off and attach to anything/anyone that brushes up against it. It likes open sun and we'll drained soil. It has edible red fruit and yellow flowering buds.

Habitat:

These plants, along w/ numerous others were located in a large pasture area of a County preserve. The area was open to full sun and was very sandy soil.
