Description:

Lifer! This young male is starting to lose his stripes and turn tan with a red head. Although mostly identical to the five-lined skink (Plestiodon fasciatus), you can tell them apart by the number of upper lip scales.

Habitat:

Found under a carpet near an old, falling apart house in an oak forest.
