Thank you! I think that's what it is, specifically the subspecies Metacyrba taeniola taeniola. I'll go ahead and change the ID.
Interesting Jumper! Maybe Metacyrba taeniola or similar: http://bugguide.net/node/view/412860/bgpage
Jumping spiders have very cute eyes, don't they!
Yes! I also had that issue with the internal flash, so I bought a external one that get triggered with a little air bomb, yes, like those old studio cameras :D
It works great, doesn't it! It's just that I'm stuck with my built-in flash, which sometimes hits the reversed lens instead of the subject, and can give some overexposed shots. I need to invest in an external flash lol
Jared: I also have extension tubes, but I like the way the macro reverse ring works better. I too would love to own a macro lens someday. Phillip: Thanks! You mean the reversed lens?
Nice pictures! I also use that technique when it comes to small species! :D
That's an interesting way to do it... I just have a cheap set of macro filters. Would love to have a nice macro lens someday!
Thanks! Yeah, I've had a lot actually jump onto the lens. I usually use a reversed 18-55mm lens for my macro shots, and it is possible for them to actually jump into the lens. That can be a tricky situation!
Nice! Sometimes they go in attack position with your camera if you get too close. :)
