Description:

Beautiful plant throughout Missouri. Has highly scented white flower in the spring that smells like apples. Starts fruiting late May into June. Some say fruits are edible when ripe. All other parts of the plant are poisonous to humans.

Habitat:

woods, edges of wooded areas
