Field Notes

Description:

Both lizards are males in breeding colour. The one below lost the fight...it is also a bit darker than the other lizard...donot know if that signals some sort of "not quite ready." There was this flurry of activity, threats and chasing each other around the trunk of the tree they were on and then the second lizard ran away. The orange head signals the male is in breeding colour. The lizards were obviously on a vertical trunk...the photo is horizontally placed.

Habitat:

In garden.
