gratography, I was pretty happy to see one at all. It was the only orchid I was able to see during this trip
Rattlesnake plantain are always fun flower finds in the Western mountains. I have noticed that the flowers do not stay in bloom for long periods of time. By the time you come across one on the forest floor, there are brown edges around it. see for example, http://gratography.com/orchids/
