Field Notes

Description:

Yellowish-Brown colored Sea Star with Whitish-Brown semi-circular bumps. It has five arms.

Habitat:

Dana Point, CA. Near the shore, it seems to be new to this shore. It hides under rocks and has very slow movements.

Notes:

If you live near Dana Point and would like to find them, they hide under rocks at the point where all the rocks are together. You will have to turn over the rocks, and are hard to find. I found two in about 45 minutes.
