Field Notes

Description:

The head is iridescent, a metallic bronzey colour shot with blue-green. It has bright green shoulder patch and violet coloured rump patch which is generally not seen. The breast is tinged with yellow.

Habitat:

Flowers, especially the tubular sort.

Notes:

The female is more dowdy and MUCH easier to photograph.
