Description:

close up of under the cap, I posted this pic before of the mystery chanterelle. okay perhaps this is a false chanterelle afterall! The forky forked gills. Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca growing in a tiny patch, tiny mushrooms, fluorescent orange, in Eco Village of Floyd Bennett Field.

Habitat:

in pine needles, mostly white pine

Notes:

these were so small and delicate, dries up faded but in the wild they were flourescent orange
