According to "A Guide to the Reptiles and Amphibians of Egypt", Trachylepis quinquetaeniata quinquetaeniata is the subspecies occurring in Egypt. Here's some of what it says: Nostril pierced in a single scale, followed by a small postnasal; 4 supraoculars, 4 supralabials anterior to the eye; ear fairly large, oval with 3 - 5 small lobules; tympanum exposed. Dorsals tricarinate, ventrals smooth, 35- 40 scales around mid-body. Coloration varies greatly according to age and sex. Adult males lose the dorsal striation, except for the most lateral stripe, which is orange-yellow; dorsum is olive, tail yellowish, throat and sides of neck black, upper lips white."
The Bean Skink is a subspecies of the Rainbow Mayuba. I would not be opposed to calling it the Bean Skink, Trachylepis quinquetaeniata quinquetaeniata, I just could not find any sites with the characters for this subspecies so I am going with the safe side and just going down to species.
