Field Notes

Description:

Yellow butterfly with spots on the wings. Wing span about 2.5 inches.
The first picture is a male. The color is a bit darker than the female in the second photo. Note also the very bright yellow area on the left wing of the
female. The third is a properly camera exposed of the second butterfly but at a nearby location on of the campus. Sulfur butterfly is pollinating wild flowers and may be also pollinating local ground cover.

Habitat:

Butterfly was among a patch of smooth (common) vetch.
