Ebony jewelwing damselfly

This is a male ebony jewelwing. The males have metallic blue bodies and all black wings. The females are duller and have white pterostigma (that's the portion of the wing that sometimes has a spot of color). I kept finding these guys deep in the forest of Huntley Meadows Park, but they weren't cooperating being photographed. Luckily they have a very lazy, fluttery flight which makes them easy to catch. Don't worry, he was released unharmed.
