Description:

This is a wood frog which has emerged this year from a vernal pool. You can identify wood frogs by the dark mask around their eyes. The last picture has my gloved finger in it for comparison so you can see how small they are - at most an inch long! Found four of these guys hopping around Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary.
