Description:

Woodpecker like bird with a heavily striped or banded back of black and white; bright red head with a light grey side f the head or ear area. Approximately 9 - 10 inches long from tail tip to top of head.

Habitat:

Ocean inlet near the beach. Feeding on bugs in a large palm tree.
